We will be conducting a mandatory orientation for all students who sign up to go through the recruitment process. This will happen on Wednesday, January 31st, at 12pm. If you have a class at that time we will work with you to get the information from your Recruitment Counselor.

Please note:

With the large number of people involved with recruitment and the amount of planning involved, there are always some questions that come up. Specifically the Office of Student Life often hears a lot of concerns about several variations of "disassociation" and sorority rules. We wanted to clarify this policy here so everyone can have a full understanding of what the policy means.

During the Formal Recruitment period, initiated sorority members have a lot of limitations set by the National Panhellenic Council and TCNJ's Panhellenic Association in order to maintain a values-based recruitment.

One policy in particular states that initiated sorority women (including alumnae of chapters on campus) and unaffiliated women (that's you!) should not be talking about sororities or recruitment outside of the recruitment rounds. But that's ALL it says. You should continue to have normal conversations with other women, just not sorority or recruitment related. Please do your best to try to avoid bringing up the subject of sororities/recruitment when around initiated sorority women, as they have also been told to avoid those topics with you in order to keep the process fair for everyone.

Any questions can be directed to Melissa LaPointe VP1 of Recruitment and Kourtney Levy VP2 of Recruitment, at pharecruitment@tcnj.edu.
